David Crockett State Park

David Crockett State Park was after David Crockett, who called at one time operated a powder mill, a sawmill and a distillery on the banks of Shoal Creek that flows through the park. It was dedicated to him in May 1959 is one of the most famous native sons, Tennessee honor.

Camping

The park has distributed over two large campsites in 107 different locations. All of the individual campsites are equipped with a table and grill, and connections for water andStream.

The nearby bathrooms with hot showers, commodes and toilets for visiting all campers. There are no reservations available, and remains limited to two weeks. The campsites on a first-come, first-served basis offered. Although most times there is enough space available, it is certain occasions or special events are happening are occupied, many or even all places.

David Crockett State Park has a beautiful 40-acre lake,provides fishing all year. Lindsey Lake as they called it, with many different species of fish, including bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish stocked.

Every fisherman at the age of thirteen must have a valid Tennessee Fishing License. You can fish anywhere on the lake from the bank or on a boat with your own paddle or trolling motor. Allowed No private boats on the lake!

Sports

David Crockett State Park also has many other things you can dowhile you're there. In summer you can take a swim in their Olympic swimming pool. The pool has a concession stand and changing area for swimmers. There is a wading pool, basking in the younger children and plenty of space in the sun. The pool is supplied from Memorial Day to late summer and lifeguards on duty for your safety.
